Welcome

Celebrating
St. Paul and St. Stephen

We are looking for people willing to serve on a team that will plan and organize a celebration worthy of our wonderful church life at St. Paul and St. Stephen. We need to find ways to thank our staff and to honour our history before our time here as a church family comes to an end. Please contact Barb Rushton at barb.rushton@ns.sympatico.ca or call the church office.

Amalgamation

All documents related to the proposed amalgamation of Canard/Trinity, St. Paul & St. Stephen, New Minas and Wolfville United Churches can be found on the Kings Co. Consultation Steering Committee page.

Thank-you for visiting our website!

The United Church of St. Paul and St. Stephen, Kentville, NS is a congregation of the United Church of Canada, in the picturesque agricultural region called the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. As a Christian church, our rich and respected history predates the inauguration of the United Church of Canada by some 11 years. Today, we are on a path of transition. We seek to understand the spiritual needs of an ever changing society and to respond with a ministry that is both authentic to the life-giving story of relationship with God in Jesus as Christ and offers a lifestyle plan that is achievable in today’s culture.

Our community values include a liberal and liberating understanding of God, Christ, Spirit, Bible, and church. Worship is celebratory, inviting, and challenging for today’s world. We are active in the Christian development of our members, young and old; outreach, into the neighbourhood and the world, with attempts of compassion and generosity. Pastoral support is extended to our members in a wide variety of ways by both staff and members. . . .And did I mention that we enjoy being together ?

This website is but one effort of our church to come of age in this technological/ information society. Efforts are already to underway to apply current communication products in the quest to connect effectively with our own family and to introduce our church to those who are curious, if not looking, at a home for their spiritual journey.

On other pages of this website you will find contact information.
